最高のライブの一つでした。私の知ってる限り、スーツ着てロック歌うのは、ブライアンフェリーとロバートパーマーだけではないでしょうか。ノンストップのライブで、バックの演奏が途切れることなくコンサートは続きました。アンコールはパープル？の曲で、一緒に行った友人はもう狂喜乱舞でした。また、当日のライブはFMで生中継されました。FMにとっても音楽ファンにとってもいい時代でした。

オンタイムでは、私はDouble Funで即大ファンになりました。1985年のPower stationで時代の最先端へ上り詰め、MTVのヒットとともにRobert Palmarの来日を心待ちにしてました。ソウルフルなボーカルとセンスある曲、圧倒的なステージ、時代の潮流にのってコマーシャルでも成功した最高のロックボーカリストの一人だと思います。
1989年3月11日 渋谷公会堂 1988年にHeavy Nova を発表後のツアーで来日しました。
